12 DAYS DRAKENSBERG & CAPE EXTENSION

Day 1 Tugela Mouth Resort
Collect your camper in Durban or continue your journey after the 11 day Mpumalanga tour, and drive to Tugela Mouth Resort, situated on the coast 90 kilometers north of Durban.

Day 2 Injisuthi campsite in Southern Drakensberg
Today drive to and through the Drakensberg to the Injisuthi campsite. Surrounded by Cathin Peak, Monks Owl and Champagne Cattle, this park is one of the smaller ones, without the many tourists. There is a small shop for basic supplies at the camp.

Day 3 Injisuthi campsite
Spend the whole day at Injisuthi Camp. You can relax or go fishing, swimming or go on a hike through the Drakensberg.

Day 4 Kokstad
Today depart the Drakensberg, travelling south to Kokstad. Spend the night at the Stoneybrook Ranch campsite, just 12.5 kilometres out of this small village.

Day 5 Addo Elephant National Park
This morning leave Stoneybrook Ranch and head due south to the Addo Elephant National Park. Spend the night at the Addo Elephant Park campsite, where you can buy groceries in a small shop or dine in the restaurant there.

Day 6 Tsitsikamma National Park
From Addo Elephant Park, drive to the Tsitsikamma National Park, on the south coast of South Africa. Spend the night the campsite there, where you will find a restaurant and a small shop.

Day 7 Wilderness National Park
This morning head for the Wilderness National Park, a charming world of lakes, rivers, fens, estuaries and beaches which gently unfold against a backdrop of lush forest and lofty mountains. Spend the night at the park's campsite.

Day 8 Oudtshoorn
Today head for the ostrich capital of South Africa, Oudtshoorn. Miles before you enter this city, you will see huge fields full of these funny looking big birds, whose meat is very healthy. Stay at Oudtshoorn's campsite, near the Cango Caves. You will find shops and restaurants in the city itself.

Day 9 Winelands
Today you will drive the last part of the world famous Garden Route, which will lead you into the winelands of South Africa. Camp surrounded by beautiful vineyards and stunning views.

Day 10 Cape Town
Take Route 62 to Cape Town, a city where there are lots of things to explore. We suggest you visit Robben Island, climb Table Mountain or visit the Cape of Good Hope. Spend the night at the Oatland's campsite in Simon's Town, overlooking False Bay - famous for its regular whale sightings.

Day 11 Cape Town
Spend today discovering Cape Town. Again stay at the Oatland's campsite.

Day 12 Cape Town
Spend the morning sightseeing, before returning your 4x4 at Cape Town airport and checking in for your flight back home.
