Day 1 Nelspruit
Pick up 4x4 rental car and drive from Johannesburg in the direction of Nelspruit, turning off at the Sudwala Caves and traveling on to the 4x4 training ground at Riverwild. Accommodation booked in Safari Tents. Approximate distance 332 km
Day 2 Nelspruit
After breakfast your 4x4 instructor will take you on a full morning's 4x4 training and you will have the time to practice your newly learnt skills.
Day 3 Tzaneen
Set off from Nelspruit and travel in a northerly direction via Hazyview and Hoedspruit to the town of Tzaneen . Accommodation is booked for one night at Thaba Metsi in the beautiful Magoebaskloof area. Accommodation booked at camp site. Approximate distance 305 km
Day 4 Tuli Block
Today you will drive from Tzaneen to the Tuli Block , just over the Botswana border in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve. You will spend the night on Tuli Block 's campsite at Limpopo River Lodge. Here you can join the morning or evening games drives or maybe even go on a game walk (optional). Approximate distance 285 km
Day 5 Tuli Block
You will have the whole day to relax in Tuli Block . Or spend the day spotting game on the game drives.
Day 6 Nata Lodge
After an early breakfast you will head for Nata Lodge in northern direction, towards the Botswana border with Zambia and Zimbabwe , near Kazungula. At Nata Lodge there is the possibility to go on a guided tour to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park . You will spend the night at Nata Lodge .Approximate distance 443 km, Alternative to Nata Lodge at Planet Baobab camp site 533 km
Day 7 Kasane
From Nata Lodge you will drive to Kasane, where you will spend the night at Kubu Lodge . We recommend going on an afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River (optional). Approximate distance 300 km. Approximate distance if traveling from Planet Baobab 390 km
Day 8 Victoria Falls
After breakfast you will leave Kasane and pass the border at Kazungula into neighboring Zimbabwe . Where you will drive to our Guesthouse and spend the night.
Day 8 Victoria Falls – ZAMBIA (alternative)
After breakfast you will leave Kasane and pass the border at Kazungula into neighboring Zambia . Once you have finalized the border formalities travel to Livingstone town where your accommodation is booked at Maramba River Lodge in a Safari Tent on a bed and breakfast basis for two nights. Approximate distance for both options 80 km
Day 9 Victoria Falls
You will have a whole day to relax in and around the Guesthouse or explore the many beautiful sightings of the Victoria Falls .
Day 9 Victoria Falls – ZAMBIA (alternative)
You will have a whole day to relax in and around the Lodge or explore the many beautiful sightings of the Victoria Falls .
Day 10 Chobe National Park
After breakfast, depart from Zimbabwe and travel back to Botswana . After doing some last shopping in Kasane, you will drive through the Chobe National Park and overnight at Ihaha campsite or similar. From now onwards will the real adventure start. Tonight you will spend the night in your vehicle amongst Africa 's wild animals. Approximate distance for both options 105 km
Day 11 Chobe National Park - Savuti
This day you will drive to the Savuti campsite. You're stay is self-catered; every spot has his own BBQ. All roads are dirt roads, you will definitely see a lot of wild animals and you will need a good compass. Distance subject to clients routing
Day 12 and 13 Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Today you will be leaving Chobe National Park and drive to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, where you will spend the night on the Xakanaxa campsite or similar. The following day you will drive through to Third Bridge Camp or similar, basic accommodation with a simple toilet and a cold shower. Distance subject to clients routing
Day 14 Maun
Leaving the Moremi Game Reserve via South Gate today, you will have a lot of nice sightings during your drive. You will be spending the night at a campsite in Maun, where you surely will enjoy a hot shower! Accommodation booked at Crocodile Camp camp site, situated 12 km from Maun. Distance subject to clients routing
Optional Extension: Extend stay by two nights by including a trip to the Okavango Delta to stay in one of the beautiful camps in this world renowned destination.
Day 15 Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Today you will drive to Makgadikgadi Pans, where you will stay at a campsite. You will have plenty of time to drive through the Park or maybe visit the Nxai Pan National Park , before entering the campsite. Approximate distance 155 km
Day 16 Serowe
After an early breakfast you will drive along the northern part of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve to Serowe. 30 km before Serowe you will see the Rhino Sanctuary on your right hand side. You will be sleeping on its campsite. Approximate distance 351 km
Day 17 Marakele National Park
Plan for an early departure from Botswana via the border post of Martins Drift. Driving through Elisras you will be heading for the Marakele National Park . You will be camping in the camp site. Be aware it is a self-catered accommodation and there is no possibility to shop in the camp. Approximate distance 442 km
Day 18 Johannesburg
After the last safari in the morning you will drive to Pilanesberg National Park or maybe Sun City . Later in the afternoon, you will have to return your rental car and check in for your flight. Approximate distance 245 km

Clients arriving on a late afternoon / early evening flights on the first day should ideally book one night in Johannesburg before departing on the above itinerary. Additional accommodation in Johannesburg can be booked trough us.
